1. General information
The general objective is to broaden knowledge on specific topics in order to identify and deepen social and legal issues in scientific research and biotechnological applications
Students are expected to learn about the activities of national and international organizations involved in the management of quality, innovations and patents. This objective will be acquired through theoretical classes and seminars in which they will apply previous knowledge and acquire skills in scientific information search and critical analysis, writing and communication. These approaches and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Agenda 2030 of the United Nations (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), so that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject will contribute to some extent to their achievement: Goal 3: Health and wellness. 1. Validation in GLP context.
2. Scientific Dissemination.
3. Patents (online practice).
- Seminars on topics related to the legal aspects presented in the subject.
4. Academic activities
Theoretical classes. 4 ECTS. The basic theoretical knowledge of the subject is presented according to the program.
Practical classes. 2 ECTS. Documentation will be provided through Moodle. The teacher will supervise the student's individual work through tutoring sessions. The papers are presented and discussed in class.
5. Assessment system
The evaluation will consist of the following tests:
1) Performance of a written test: the specific competencies will be evaluated by means of written tests. It will be graded from 0 to 10 and will contribute 60% to the final grade.
2) Presentation and exhibition of papers. The works will deal with topics related to the subject, that each student will agree with the teacher. The teacher will supervise the student's personal work, guiding them in the search for information and in its evaluation. The work must be submitted in writing and subsequently presented and discussed in class. The submission of the work and its presentation to the class will be mandatory to pass the subject They will be graded from 0 to 10 and will contribute 40% to the final grade. The assessment criteria are the following: coherence of the information, clarity in the presentation, degree of elaboration of the presentation, degree of internalization of the contents with their own suggestions, and degree of participation in the debate after the presentation of the work.
